This September, Limerick will host a truly special event. Forum Polonia warmly invites representatives of Polish organisations, community leaders, and activists supporting the Polish community in Ireland to the Polish Diaspora Gathering, taking place on 19–21 September 2025 at Kilmurry Lodge Hotel.

What makes this edition unique is its timing – the gathering coincides with the Polish Arts Festival, the oldest and most significant celebration of Polish culture in Ireland. This creates a rare opportunity to combine serious discussions about the future of the diaspora with artistic and cultural experiences.
Main Themes of the Gathering
The central focus of this year’s meeting is the image of Poles in Ireland and the ways in which both the Polish and Irish governments plan to support the diaspora on the Emerald Isle.
The three-day program includes:
Friday: an informal opening evening – the perfect chance to connect, talk, and integrate.
Saturday: the core day of the gathering, featuring panels and debates with representatives of the Institute of Public Affairs from Warsaw and members of the Polish Senate. Discussions will cover the perception of Poles in Ireland, civic engagement, and the role of state and diaspora organizations. A special highlight will be a meeting with Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Marshal of the Polish Senate, who will join us in Limerick to personally engage with the community. Saturday’s program will also reflect on culture as a source of identity, linking the gathering with the ongoing Polish Arts Festival.
Sunday: workshops and small group sessions – an opportunity to exchange experiences, reflect, and plan joint initiatives for the future.
